Two Concerts and a Thrill
This week started unlike any other. Going to the walk
the moon concert in KOLON. Where Lexie, Shannon and I danced, sung and laughed till
the night was morning. We were lucky enough to meet all the band members and
get their autographs. We made friends with other German girls and truly had a
blast. On Tuesday we went to a museum and learned more about the life of the Hilda
Gard. After our tour in the museum we spent the rest of the day in the sun
along the Rhine. We eventually made our way back to Bonn only to play in the
AIB soccer cup. Where I must mention my group won and I scored a goal. This one
goes out to all my haters and myself in 6th grade who sucked at
sports. YOU CAN DO IT and YOU DID IT!
The following days were filled with school and
another sad 211 test. The week at school ended with a really cool, informative guest
lecture about Ethics. It truly made me wonder about life and what would I do if
given the opportunity between life and death. Just like that another week ended
with a girl’s night of amazing pesto pasta, strawberry lemonade, and watching mean
girls. ( I can now proudly say I know all of Kevin G’s rap)
The next day was spent in kolon shopping till I
dropped. I still had a huge night ahead of me spending an hour or so scalping
tickets for the wombat’s concert. The constant asking and no’s eventually led
to a yes. Where I then met my friends at the front of the venue for the best and
our last concert in Europe. I couldn’t believe we were front row aka best row.
I got a set list for Lexie, got concert patches and headed home in anticipation
for Sunday which might have been better than the rest. A day at Phantasialand, “Germanys
best amusement park” (it really is). It felt like it was the happiest place on
earth just as nice as Disney world. Lexie and I rode every rollercoaster in the
park, ate chicken nuggets, and drank slushies till our tongue’s turned blue. Truly
a day of bliss and one of the best weeks ever!!
Ranking
of rides:
Toran- a multi launch roller coaster (pictured)
Colorado Adventure- a ride that might look like its for kids but is
better than one could ever expect
Black Mamba- that does more upside down loops
XOXO,
GOING
“the faster the rollercoaster the better” GERMAN
