Week 10

Hello,

This week was very laid back. On Wednesday, we got to head to the Uniklinikum to observe surgeries. When we first got there I was one of the few people that got "chosen" to wait back so that other people could observe surgeries since there were not enough. I was a bit upset at first thinking that I would not get to see a surgery that day. However, thanks to the staff Artavia and I were able to go to the women's wing of the hospital. First, we observed a young girl getting breast reduction due to her back problems. The surgeon was so funny and enjoyed having us there. After, Artavia and I chatted with some of the nurses and surgeons in the break room. To wrap up our time, we got to see a woman being out under anesthesia for her liposuction. It was a very interesting day.

As far as school, Pharmacology is proving to be a challenging course. We had a quiz that was quite unfair as it had many questions and we had very little time.
