Dreizehn

For Easter weekend we took a trip to Switzerland. We stayed at a hostel in Luzern. The first day we had a hike in Schwarzenberg, however, most of us did not have the proper footgear and clothing for the snow. We were looking for the trails but because of the snow, all the trails were most likely covered. We still hiked around in the snow but we didn’t go too far into the mountain because we did not want to get lost and die up there. The next day we walked around Lucerne and saw the city square and a bridge. Unfortunately, because of Easter weekend, everything was closed. That was a shame because there were many cool store like one that sold vintage items. The food in Switzerland is criminally expensive. I found a Thai restaurant that had pretty good ratings and was nearby. When we arrived we saw the place seemed pretty good, pretty packed and not too fancy. When I saw the menu my eyes widened and my jaw dropped. The pad thai was the equivalent of about 20 euros. It made no sense to me why food was so expensive in Switzerland. I found an Indian restaurant that only charged ten swiss francs for a meal and their food was alright. We bought our own food to cook later that night. The next day we hiked in Kriens which was beautiful and had a small waterfalls and streams downhill with mountain and snow on the top. There was a communal kitchen in the hostel where we cooked ourselves some spaghetti.
