Not much happened this week,
mostly schoolwork. One thing of note was the presentation we had to do in
intermediate German over a German holiday of our choice. I chose the Maibaum
tradition of Der 1st Mai, it’s an interesting tradition where young
men go out and get their girlfriends a Maibaum, typically a birch tree,
decorate it with streamers and put it up under the window of their beloved.
It’s like a cross between a Christmas tree and valentines day, or maybe just
like a Really big flower.
