For spring break we were headed to Barcelona, Spain then Rome,
Italy, Florence, Italy, and Venice, Italy. The first day of spring break we
stayed in Paris, France an extra day to wander the city a bit more then we went
to Tille, France and spent the night there. Our first stop was in Barcelona,
Spain. We saw some monuments then saw an enormous fountain at the Parc de la
Ciutadella. There was no water in the fountain unfortunately because it was
still too cold. That night we met up with Austen, Vijay, and Lois for some
seafood paella. This was my first time having seafood paella and I chose a
really nice restaurant known for its seafood paella. It was amazing. I can not
describe how good it was. It was totally worth the twenty some euros. The next
day we met up with Austen, Vijay, and Lois again at the Parc Guell. We hiked up
the place next to it and had an amazing view of Barcelona. The last night in
Barcelona we had tapas which were super good but added up really fast. We also
ordered some sangria and now I can say that is my favorite drink of all time. We
headed to Rome, Italy. There were too many things to see in Rome and not enough
time. In only two days we tried to see as much of Rome as possible. We saw the Colosseum,
Fountain di Trevia, Pantheon, and many more. We explored the Vatican City and the
Capella Sistina with the museums inside. Florence, Italy was our next destination.
We saw The David of Michelangelo. It was cool seeing something so famous. Venice,
Italy was our last destination. Even though it was very rainy and cloudy the
city was still beautiful. We walked around the narrow streets and alleyways while
eating a lot of gelato.
