This week we had an excursion to Bingen/Andermach. I was
super tired coming back from Switzerland but I survived. Not much happened this
week other than more endmodes which is going well. All of next week we had
endmodes to work on since the final presentation in Aachen was this Friday. The
endmodes powerpoint was coming along as
well as what we were going to say. Me and Kate were trying to change up the
device a bit so it would not be too symbol to the one that already exists. The patent
for the existing device was just so comprehensive. The details of device had
specifications for every material they could have ever possibly used as well as
the exact measurements of the each part of the device. After a very long discussion
and critique of our project with Dr. Wasser we had to change a bunch of
different things. We eventually figured it out and came up with an innovative
solution to our problem, assisted by Dr. Wasser of course. Rehearsing for the enmodes
presentation was vigorous and exhausting at the same time. Since we changed so
many things we also had to change what we were going to say. We rehearsed until
midnight and had the presentation to enmodes the following day. We were all
dressed up and ready to go. Everyone did a great job presenting their enmodes
device and the people at enmodes seemed really impressed and wanted to use our
ideas.
