Week 12- France

"A walk about Paris will provide lessons in history, beauty, and in the point of life."

Thomas Jefferson said these words and I could not agree more. The streets of this vast city, all so beautifully unique, create the web of history and culture so vibrant that one vividly feels while walking though them.

From the language to the weather (perfect to say the least) to the food, France differed from Deutschland. I had Escargot and countless different cheeses for the first time, and I also had a panini from the same man, from the same panini shop that I visited 5 years ago. Bottom line is that this trip to Paris combined new experiences and thoughts with old memories.

Below is a picture of a young boy playing the saxophone on the streets of Paris; specifically, he was standing near the Notre Dame. In case you did not already know, I am a big fan of the saxophone. This young stud was absolutely killing it!

We did not have school this week so there is not much to mention on the topic. However, we did visit some spectacular museums in Paris and learned a great deal. We specifically focused on biomedical artwork in the Louvre, but of course, also saw classic masterpieces such as Da Vinci's Mona Lisa and Liberty Leading the People to Freedom.
