Two very different cities

After the Paris excursion ended, Yoong and I departed to Belgium on the night of Saturday, taking a night bus arriving in the morning. Thanks to Yoong that we travelled with me because she had been to Belgium once before. My first impression about Belgium was great. However, it disappeared in less than an hour. The cars were driven crazily neglecting the traffic signs and everything, and also encountered a moment seeing a woman almost hit by a car in a cross section. The entire city seemed quite deprived and dangerous, with men hanging out outside with cigars and beers during the day. But I found it nice to know the city atmosphere of Belgium just if we can safely be back to Bonn. Thankfully, we were very safe and happy throughout the day visiting different tourist spots to take pictures, have great foods like fried fish, free Belgium chocolates, Belgium waffles, and Belgium fries, which are all very famous in Belgium. Yoong consistently avoided to respond to my question that “did you enjoy the day”, but I believe that she enjoyed it but she is just not expressing it to me. Our hostel was great and everything went well.
A day after, we woke up early in the morning and head out to take the bus to Luxembourg. Luxembourg was totally a different city compared to Belgium. Everything seemed very organized and protected, with good manners and education. The transportation was very easy because the city, or maybe the country itself was very small, with good roads with few intersections. We had few confusion about depositing our luggage, but it all went well. There were some good scenery and good food such as the authentic Luxembourg soup and bread. The fortress of Luxembourg that sustained the attacks of Rome and many other wars was astonishing to see, with multiple layers of defense system protecting the inner city of the fortress with church, hospital and living houses. After all, Yoong and I had the best rewarding moment for our dinner, by buying a whole roasted chicken in a supermarket and bring it to Five Guys, and eating sneakily with one large fries and free peanuts and different sauces. It was really good and very rewarding. Overall, it was very satisfying experiences in two very different cities.
