This blog has to be really short because:
- Most of this week was us working on the medical device design project
- I signed a non-disclosure agreement with enmodes regarding our device.
This week was 100% genuine MADNESS. We had our final
presentations due this week and had to present our designed medical devices to
enmodes (a company) in Aachen, Germany. We have been working all semester on
these devices and this week was to prove what we’ve done. This week, approximately
80-90% of our classes consisted of pulling our projects together and giving
mock presentations to the professors.
When Thursday came around, we traveled to Aachen and gave
our presentations to enmodes. Overall the presentations went very well and
enmodes engineers liked some of our designs. After the presentation we went to
lunch as a group and then walked around Aachen a bit on our own. Of course most
people bought some printen to take back to the US.
On Friday, we resumed classes as usual, but our 8:45 class
got cancelled (Thank God). This was amazing because half of us were on next to
no sleep all week. Now I’m sitting here on Sunday cramming for finals and putting
the finishing touches on this enormous design history file due tomorrow (40% of
my BMEN 253 grade).
Later taters. Much Love,
MJF
