Week 14: I'm working on it.

I'm working on it. Could be the motto of this week.

Week 14 contained our final presentation of our project solutions to enmodes GmbH.  Since we had Easter Monday off and presentations were on Thursday morning in Aachen, it was like eating granola in the morning - crunch time.  Besides our usual load of homework, heightened slightly due to the oncoming end of the semester, we had to finish up our PowerPoints and then iron out what we would be saying while presenting.  Those were some long days, with limited class time but maximum group meeting time.  Wednesday afternoon/night saw each of the three groups present, then go into a different room to practice and incorporate feedback into the presentation while the next group presented.  We did this several times until we were in danger of missing our bus/train/tram home for the night.

Thursday morning dawned sunny.  I should know; I was up that early because we had to meet in town at 7something.  Needless to say, I slept the whole way to Aachen:-) Our presentations went well and ended amidst toasts of champagne to our efforts (always appreciated).  We then had a group lunch that was delicious (salad, schnitzel, and fries) and then spent about an hour getting printen (a sweet specialty of Aachen) and ducking back into Aachen Cathedral one last time.  A long week, but a great ending to that week. Or, technically, a great ending to the middle of the week.  Next up: finals!
