This week we got to travel to KOLN
and it was incredible to see the cathedral in all its magnificent glory. Its
dark demeanor and sharp spires make it seem powerful among the surroundings. We
also got a great tour of the city and had a delicious lunch at one of the
brauhauses in Cologne. It was really amazing when we got to get a rooftop tour
of the Cologne Cathedral, and the view we got was amazing where we could see
the Rhine and the rest of the city.
Over the weekend we were told not to travel outside of Germany because we may not get our visas back in time, because of this we decided to stay in Germany, but travelled to Heidelberg. First we visited the Heidelberg castle. It was a massive palace that was covered in snow!! This was the first time I have ever truly seen snow and it was amazing to see. We even got to make some snowballs and throw it at each other. It made me feel like a kid again which was extremely refreshing. The castle was massive and we also got to see the largest barrel in the world. While there, we also got to see a museum of ancient medicine. Later we went down philosopher’s walk where famous philosophers had strolled centuries ago. It was full of beautiful scenery.
