On Monday, of this week we took our last general test for Physiology. Afterward, mostly of the AIB crew went down to the Hofgarten. We may or may not have picked up some snacks and drinks along the way. Also we were celebrating Stephanie's 21st birthday so we had more than enough reason to celebrate. When we got to the Hofgarten, the weather was lovely, and we ended up playing volleyball, soccer, and football with some local Bonners. Later that night we had some downtime after my genetics class and we spent the rest of the night hanging out at the infamous Rheinlust.
The mid portion of this week was spent studying. Three tests in one week is enough to drive any man crazy. And i definitely did not feel the least bit sane.
Friday, the bioscience students took a trip to Remagen to visit the Peace bridge, which was a major historical site during the Second World War. It was really neat, because our guide was the Bürgermeister, (mayor) around the same time so most of the information was first hand. Then I went home and nothing else happened.
Saturday Night was the night of the last AIB gathering. Earlier in the day most of us went to a theatre performance put on by the LMU theatre kids. Overall the play was very interesting and they did a great job acting. There were some questionable occurrences throughout the play. I think the addition of some really good bras or pasties would answer a lot of the questions. After the play, we took a few short minutes to work on the rest of our homework before grabbing a drink to start off the AIB party.
The party itself was very bittersweet. All the food and music could only do so much to make the occasion happier than it was. If i could repeat this experience with the same people, I'd do it all over again. Even with the people I don't like that much. In the end, the fact that nobody died made us all stronger people. only three things could have made this experience better: more time, money, and Cheesecake.
