This week was when classes first
began for us which will probably be the most relaxing for us for the whole
semester. The professors are nice and interesting, although the math professor
is a little difficult since he teaches from a PowerPoint, which is difficult to
learn from for such an advanced math course. On Friday, we went to Aachen where
we were able to meet Enmodes (the company we will be working with this
semester) and we were given the general idea and information about the project
we are working on this semester. It was a unique and educative experience.
The main reason I chose to study abroad was because of this opportunity to work with a company in Germany to produce a real world device. We also got a tour of the cathedral in Aachen where we learned that it houses clothing of significant holy figures and artifacts of old roman residents of the city. It was so weird to think about how connected these two places could be, yet only separated by time.
