This week was a roller coaster of emotions. From extreme stress over finals to excitement when they ended to depression when we realized we have to go home now. Finals were from Monday to Thursday so that half of the week was filled with intense cramming, late nights and very little sleep. Thursday night we all went home and passed out from exhaustion.
On Friday we went on an excursion to Remagen to see the peace museum. This museum is inside part of the old bridge that used to be in Remagen. The bridge was demolished at the end of World War II when the Americans came to take control of the city. It was a really cool museum and our tour guide was this really cute old German man. After the museum we had a nice group lunch at an Italian restaurant and then headed back to Bonn.
The rest of the weekend has been spent getting ready to leave. I've been trying to pack all of my stuff into two suitcases, which is basically impossible and saying goodbye to Bonn. I'm so sad that I have to leave. But I won't be going back to the states on the third. I get to go to Italy with my cousin for ten days before heading home. I'm so excited for this extra trip because my cousin has never traveled outside of the US before and has been obsessed with Italy for years. I think it will be a really good experience for both of us and am really looking forward to it. I just wish that I didn't have to leave Bonn. I'm going to miss this city so much.
