Last full week...
After
studying, studying, and a little more studying, it was time to take my finals.
I had my 253 final on Monday, and it went very well. I think many of us were
unsure of the outcome of this exam because we felt like we hadn’t retained any
of the information from the past few months, but many of us were pleasantly
surprised. I also had my last regular
physiology exam that Monday, which also went very well.
Tuesday, I
spent studying/panicking for my upcoming finals. Wednesday, I took my
physiology final, which went much better than the one last semester. Then on
Thursday, it was time for my last final…the dreaded 211 final. This was the
longest final I have ever taken. It took me almost 4 hours to complete, and
there were many after me who were sill testing. I thought the material itself
was fair, but the exam really challenged your mental stamina. It was very satisfying
to turn in that exam…
After exams
were through, our program enjoyed a nice excursion to Remagen. While there, we
took a tour of the old bridge that had been converted into a museum. That
evening, we went to the old AIB for a farewell party. This was a bittersweet
time. We enjoyed great food, great music, and great company. Each of the
programs prepared a slideshow featuring pictures of everyone throughout the
semester. It was nice to reminisce on the past 4 months. On top of all that,
this incredible blues band played. It was so much fun to dance to their music.
A group of us had to leave early, however, because we had to get ready for our
last weekend adventure...this time to Prague!
