Dublin, Yeah

After Paris, Sarah, Lauren, Shawn, Blake, Ashley, Jay, DeLayne, Rahil, and I flew to Dublin. Our flight left out of an airport about an hour away from Paris, so we had to take a bus to get there, and we cut it kind of close to boarding time. Thankfully the plane was late. When we got to Dublin it was pretty late, so after we checked into the hostel all of us minus Lauren, Sarah, and DeLayne found a diner to have a midnight supper. Jay, Rahil, and Shawn (crazy kids) went to a bar after that while the rest of us went to bed, since we had to be up super early for our cross-Ireland bus tour. We hopped on the Paddy Wagon bus at about 8, then drove for two hours to our first stopping point, which was a view of a castle over a lake. Then we hopped back on and stopped at some kind of semi-ruins of a church or monastery or something. Both places were pretty, and the drive itself was really scenic and super green. We stopped for lunch right before we hit the Cliffs of Moher at a little pub. Then we stopped at the "mini cliffs" for a while. The driver/tour guide of this bus was very Irish and very fond of the word "yeah." He said it after every sentence. Maybe I'll honor him and finish this blog post in the same manner, yeah? So we finally get to the real cliffs, and the weather is great yeah. We take our sweet time hiking up to the first vantage point and take a lot of cute pics, yeah. Then we walk along and see a castle, yeah, then decide to keep going all the way to the end of the cliffs, yeah. It started to get really windy up there, but that didn't stop us from dangling our feet over the side and generally living life on the edge, yeah. Eventually we turned around and started up the other side, yeah. We took some more cool pictures and then grabbed some ice cream before loading up on the bus again, yeah. The ride back was relaxing and I slept through most of it, yeah. When we got back it was about dinner time so we found us a burger restaurant, yeah. Then we went to all the pubs we could find, yeah, and I had to go back for my ID at one point because apparently I look 16, yeah. But it was still a fun time, yeah. The next day we checked out and brought all our stuff to McDonalds for some pre-211 studying yeah. I had a friend studying abroad in Dublin so I met up with her for an Irish coffee and some pastries, yeah, She showed me around town a little and I was able to show the rest of the group where to get souvenirs and some traditional Irish food, yeah. Before dinner Shawn, Jay, and I walked around Trinity College for a bit, yeah. Then we sat down for our Irish feast, yeah. Then we headed to the airport even though our flight wasn't until six in the morning because we wanted to save money on the hostel, yeah. So I slept in an airport restaurant booth, yeah. That was a little rough, yeah, but then we flew home and that was the end of it, yeah.
