The week following spring break was just a normal routine week. Since I was not able to meet with the
class last week, I had extra sessions this week. We also had a physiology exam later in the week, so the
majority of my time was just spent studying. After our tests were over, it was off to Zurich for
Easter. A small group of us
decided to spend our long Easter weekend in one of the most expensive places in
the world. This was not our
strongest decision, but we worked around the costs and ended up having a blast,
as we usually do on every trip I’ve been on so far. The first day in Zurich, we walked around the town and
headed up to the mountains. The
weather was really foggy and rainy, so we could not see much up on the
mountains. The weather was much
better the next day, so we walked around the city again and took a boat tour of
the massive lake in Zurich. The
view of the snow-capped mountains from the lake was really incredible. After
our tour some people in our group went to rent a paddleboat, while others
headed back to the hotel to study/relax before going out for dinner and drinks.
On our third day, we headed to some nearby mountains to hike around and luge
down the mountain. The luge was
really fun, especially when we didn’t use the brakes! After luge-ing, we headed
back into Zurich to grab a quick dinner before heading back to Bonn. All in all
Zurich was really expensive, but we still managed to have a great time.
