The next day started early but it was quite enjoyable. First we went to a mass at this old Benedictine Monastery. What hit me the hardest was the gothic-style organ playing. It was quite a beautiful, yet eerie sound. After some hot chocolate, we went to tour a castle. I really liked this tour, as it amazes me that people lived in such enormous places. The inside was adorned with not only extravagant furniture, but mounts of the many deer that the royalty had killed while hunting. After a delicious schnitzel for lunch, we went to a pleasantly quaint town. While most people went on a short hike, a few of us decided to stay out of the cold and got some hot chocolate and a type of spiced wine that is served hot. Then I slept on the bus ride back as it was quite an exhausting, yet unforgettable weekend. That's all for now!

The time is now
This past weekend was quite the experience. Friday night we took a train to Amsterdam, and the view upon arriving was breathtaking. What a city it was. It seemed like a corner of the Earth, where many cultures meet. I heard a lot of different languages just walking down the street. Friday night was a blast. The group we had was pretty big so we split up. The four I was with went to a coffee shop, then just walked around enjoying the stellar night life. We found a delicious italian place to eat at. I had some of the best pizza I've ever had there. We then went to a club where some amazing DJ's were playing. I had SO much fun dancing the night away. After that we went back to our hostel and played pool in the lobby until we were too tired to stand. The next day we grabbed some coffee and breakfast and took a tram to the Van Gogh museum. I could try to describe it to you, but all I can say is that it was amazing seeing his unparalleled artwork and reading about his unfortunate life. I felt like I had a true connection with his paintings. After that we walked around some more and watched people ice skate until we had to take the train back to Bonn.
