very well informed about the topic. When he was done the little exhibits were interesting to play around with. In the back there was a ball that was suspended by magnets but it would get stuck to the top or bottom if it was moved too much. Behind the ball was a working model of a maglev which was awesome. There was a button that would lower it off the magnet rail or raise it back up. When it was attached to the rail it could be moved left and right. That was an interesting toy to play with. Yesterday morning was the parade in Beuel and that was unlike the parades back home. Everyone in costumes, all the people throwing candy, giving away flowers or even tissues, stuffed animals, lanyards, or toys. The cop that was in front of us was always being given candy and every time he would give the candy to a little kid. Only one time did I see him pocket a lollipop for himself. After the parade finished we made our way to the Hauptbahnhof and bought a single group ticket before Joanna and I realized that tram 16 also
made its way to Cologne.
We successfully returned the ticket for a refund and joined everyone on the tram. Despite it being pretty crowded with people it was an amusing ride there. Our first stop included dancing to Ice Ice Baby and finishing with everyone belting out Viva Colonia. When we left most of the group decided to sing the War Hymn while someone dressed as Darth Vader watched. We left after finding everyone and continued to the center of town where the streets were crowded with people and only an ambulance was allowed to pass. For a while longer the dancing and singing continued until we decided to go back home. Weiberfastnacht was a pretty fun day. When I got home I was so tired I just ate, stayed up for an hour and then conked out until 8. Hopefully Rosenmontag will be even more fun than yesterday!
