Last night, twelve of us decided to train up to Cologne and try out a night of Latin dancing at a place recommended to us by an AIB staffer, who teaches salsa dancing in her spare time. There were lessons beforehand in three styles: Bachata, a different sort of Salsa from the basic step that I have learned, and Merengue. It was fun to stumble through the steps with everyone else as we learned, and to see our progress as the night wore on. If I had to guess, I'd say that merengue was everyone's favorite style, since it was the easiest. We ended up staying at the salsa club for almost four hours! We caught the 2 am train back to Bonn, and had difficulties staying awake on the way! I think it was a great use of a Saturday evening!
