Part 1:
Let me start by saying Vienna is the most beautiful city I have seen. In every part of the town, I felt like I was walking through a postcard. It’s a very artsy and trendy city which can really be seen just by the way people dressed and even in their German accents. One inherently different part about Europe that America doesn’t have is the heritage and tradition. In America, our only true heritage is that of vast country sides and the people who came to inhabit those 300-400 years ago. These town and countries in Europe have thousands of years of history that the people embrace. It’s no wonder why the rest of the world views America as so immature.
Food in Vienna is "lecker" in German, or delicious! We stopped in a famous café that Dr. Wasser recommended to us for coffees and other hot drinks. We all had a small but amazing coffee drink of some kind and split some homemade desserts which were wonderful as well. The Wiener schnitzel in Vienna was one of the city’s many specialties, with the best schnitzel being made out of veal instead of pork. Our last night in Vienna, we had such an amazing dinner; easily one of the top 5 meals in my life! Our waiter was funny and very interested in catering to our group, which I hear is very rare in Austria. We had our own room to ourselves, which was a wise decision because our group became very rowdy. We ate, drank, and had a great time for roughly 3 hours. At the end, most of the guys on my end of the table could barely stand up, much less walk out of the restaurant.
Too be continued…
