Beethoven's Home

This week, Dr. Moore arrived and began teaching the remaining courses I’m taking this semester. This has caused a significant spike in my workload, but, luckily, he appears to be a good professor and an all-around nice guy. Thus far, I am enjoying the classes I have with him.

The high point of this week was the visit to Beethoven’s birth house and home for the first four years of his life. As told in the tour, Beethoven would eventually move his place of residence more than 70 times. This house, which can be seen in the picture, features such things as the viola Beethoven personally played on, the various hearing aids he used beginning when he was 28 years old, and a love letter addressed to him. What is readily noticeable when one visits in person are the small sizes of the individual rooms and in some cases the low height of the ceiling.
