Week 4 in Europe

Hallo! Still catching up with the blogs, so onto the events of Week 4 here in Europe. After Amsterdam, we left for Vienna, Austria on Tuesday 2/4. It was a 9 hour train ride but the city was so great it was well worth it. The museums were incredible! The pathology museum was so crazy and full of medical mysteries/gruesome injuries and I was so fascinated. The Natural History Museum was the coolest I had ever been too, and the stuffed animal collection was that of a zoo. We saw meteorites from Mars and beautiful rocks. We learned a lot about Sigman Freud, and met Dr. Wasser's alter ego plague doctor (whose name I forgot). I absolutely love how passionate and engaging Dr. Wasser is. Having a professor who is so passionate and dedicated makes the topic that much more intriguing. However, I did not enjoy drinking a young boy's urine (even if it was just a Vienna soda, yuck!) We went to a classical music concert in a beautiful church with incredible music and acoustics. We ate incredible Goulash, ice skated at the largest artificial ice rink in Europe, experienced Vienna night life, and had an incredible time. We also saw the crypt of an old church with bones, bodies, and mummies. It was SO cool, but I was glad there were lights. After Vienna, some of us headed to Budapest where we experienced so much. The thermal baths we went to were original from the 16th century and it was so relaxing. There was also a bath on the roof with a view of the Dunabe River. So BUDAful! We went on a boat cruise at night to see the Parliament building and other historical structures. It was so much fun!! The next day we also tried the New York Cafe: the most beautiful cafe in the World! There was bad weather in Bonn, so we got delayed coming home a day. So here I am catching up on blogs and sleep...Bis Bald, Ich bin Muda!
