Vienna/Prague -- Week 4

Week 4 - Vienna & Prague

This was my favorite week so far. It was our first excursion with the program and we went to Vienna, Austria. Vienna is one of my favorite places because it encapsulates the artistic and intellectual legacy left by some of its most famous former residents which include: Mozart, Beethoven, and Sigmund Freud.

Cool sites in Vienna:

The Hofburg

St. Stephen's Cathedral

Great food in Vienna:

Below is a picture of my venison goulash from our dinner the first night in Vienna. Goulash is basically a special Viennese stew and it is delicious!
Goulash from the famous Gulaschmuseum

Tart pastry from Demel

Museums

Our group went to many museums during the week and they were all unique, covering various topics within History of Medicine.

Weekend travel: Prague, Czech Republic

Prague is absolutely stunning from the cathedral, the palace, the bridges, and the hilltop views.

I am very grateful for a successful Week 4. Even though we were not in the traditional classroom setting for a week, I definitely took away a lot from this excursion. Today was our first full day back and I had a genetics exam. Needless to say, they are definitely keeping us busy here!
