Week 9 Sprang Breakkkkkkk

Friday: after leaving the Palace of Versaile we went back to the hotel and picked up our bags. I quickly found my next hotel for the night in Paris and left to meet up with my friend, Julio, who had come from TAMU to spend spring break with me. I was very excited. Luckily I was able to find the hotel easy enough with out a phone (such a millennial i know). The hotel we were staying at was a really cool hotel on this neat market street. The weather was beautiful so i walked Julio around Paris, basically taking him on the same tour Julian took us on. We met up with Kimberlee and Durkee later that night and and rode the ferris wheel and got expressos after.

Saturuday: we woke up early enough to go see the arc de triumph before we caught our 6 hour train ride to Nice. We had a picnic on the train and passed out. We got to Nice around 9:30 and then caught a 20 min train ride to Monaco. On that train ride we ended up meeting 4 mildy drunk german women that were in their mid to late 20's. They invited us to go out with them later that night. We got off the train and it took us forever to find the hotel. We met up with them and they led us on some batan death march across the 2 square hectares of Monaco. I know not very big, but it took us like 30 minutes to get to this night club. when we got to the club there was super nice cars dropping off like bentlys and Rolls Royce. needles to say we did not get let into the club.

Sunday: we decided to get out of Monaco and explore the french riviera. we took the train to Nice and got off at every small town the train stopped at to explore. took about all mid day and we made it to Nice around 5. Nice is a lot more of a touristy town and more friendly on the average person's budget. Would most definitely recommend going there. We hung out there for a while had dinner and walked on the boardwalk.

Monday:
We woke up pretty late so we spent the rest of the day walking around monaco. we walked around the huge yachts and saw the casino that was in the ames bond movie. then we went to Nice for Dinner again. we got gelato on the beach.

Tuesday: We checked out of the hotel and caught a train to the airport and flew to Lisbon. It was about 4-5 when we got to Lisbon. There was a welcome basket at the apartment we were at and we devoured it. Also the bad thing about the apartment was that it was on the 5th floor of a very steep staircase. We walked around a little and got dinner at a really marginal. Then we met up with the other study abroad kids in Lisbon. Most of them were already asleep but we got to hang out with Raju, Michael, and Clare at their hostel. Then we ended up going out with Michael, clare, and some Swedish people we met.

Wednesday: We walked around Lisbon all day. Sat on the beach for a while. and explored a castle.

Thursday: we shopped in Lisbon for a while. The city started to get annoying because dudes on the street wouldn't stop offering us drugs.

Friday: We flew to porto. Porto is a very beautiful city I liked it much more than Lisbon. We had this awesome apartment overlooking this plaza and the river. We decided to go out that night because it was saint paddy's day so we went looking for an Irish Pub. on our way to the bar district we came across a group of Uni girls who were in a choir sorority preparing to sing a concert. my friend Julio was spitting some game at them doing his thing. Then they went to go sing their concert we ended up meeting a group of guys that were dating some of the girls. The guys were really cool and funny. ended up going out with them and they showed us around.

Saturday: we slept in pretty late because we stayed out pretty late. In the afternoon we went on a gondola ride and went to some wineries and tasted some portos.
