Before going into the Cathedral, we were allowed to explore the city of Cologne ourselves. Izzie, Alwin, Lexie and I found ourselves in one of the best outdoor store I had ever been to called the Globe Trotter. This store is pricey, but it is GORGEOUS. It has an indoor pool to try out your soon to be bought kayak and the rooftop makes winter time feel like spring.

After exploring, We went about 30 meters up on the Cathedral as we were told the history behind the delays and progress made in the construction of the Cathedral. Up that high, we got an absolutely breathtaking view of the city of Cologne. The flight up was definitely worth the view. Sadly, I can't post the pictures but you can see me to see them.
It was time to say tschuss (bye) to Cologne and head to Brussels. Amazed at the fact that in a matter of hours, I was in another country and a little worried of the location of the bus stop (North station, Brussels), the adventures in Brussels, Belgium was already starting. Staying in an hostel for the very first time was an interesting experience. I survived the travel night and finally it was time to explore Brussels. I went on a tour of the city of Brussels, learnt a little bit about its history and saw beautiful sights. I had a little too much waffles and not a lot of chocolate. I visited the Comic Strip Museum which was so refreshing and fun.
