The Last "Hurrah"!

The final weekend adventure of the semester did not disappoint! We literally hopped on a plane Friday night and were back in Bonn by midafternoon on Sunday, but it was well worth it! After three months of minimal sunshine and cold weather, we were greeted by a wonderful 70 degree blast of warm air. The little city of Faro was so quaint and cute and the beaches were gorgeous! We spent all of Saturday just soaking up the sun (some of us more than others...) and enjoying the cloudless sky, clear blue water, and soft sand. It was the perfect weekend getaway. We had so much fun, especially since the whole weekend costs less than 100 euros! Who can say they flew clear across Europe for a weekend at that price?! Not only that, but we were on the local news Saturday evening! But now it’s back to reality. Only two weeks left and I’m sure they will fly by. It was a bittersweet feeling getting off the plane in Koln knowing that the next time we board a plane, its destination will be America.
