Past Weekend Trips: Part 3

Last weekend before we went to Berlin, I spent the weekend revisiting one of my favorite cities, Prague.  On our first day we began by touring Prague Castle and visiting all the touristy sites there: the Golden Lane, St. George's Basilica, St. Vitus Cathedral, and the Royal Palace.

Next, we climbed all the way to the top of the city and went up in the lookout (which was a replica of the Eiffel Tower) and took beautiful panoramas.  Right next to the lookout point was also a mirror maze where we spent a lot of time playing around and surprising each other.

After we made our decent, we crossed the Charles Bridge and spent the rest of the day in the Old Town Square shopping for souvenirs.

Day 2 began with hot chocolate with ice cream (I was surprised that it actually worked!), then moved on to involve lots more walking and climbing uphill for different viewpoints of the city and river, and ended with a Czech dish called Lángos (fried bread topped with cheese, garlic and ketchup).
