Der Happiest place in Der world! and Paris
I traveled to Paris last weekend for Easter break with a few friends to see the sights I had previously only seen in movies and read about in books. The first major landmark we visited was the Arch de Triumphe (I apologize for any misspellings). The view of the Champs Elysees below was spectacular. If the weather had been clearer we could have been able to see all the way to the Louve. Next we walked about two miles to the Louve where we spent three hours trudging up and down hallways and stairs searching for famous artworks such as the Mona Lisa, the statue of Rhamses, the tablet of Hammurabi, and the portrait of two chicks in a bathtub where one of the chicks is pinching the other chick's nipple. The following day we visited the Palace of Versailles. Personally, I found the place a little boring and the gardens were under construction so the we got the short end of the stick on that deal. To make up for it, the next day we traveled to the happiest place on the Earth, Disney Paris! Jake and myself put our heads together and formulated a game plan which allowed us to ride every single roller coaster and large attraction the theme park had to offer in one single day. We hit up Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Star Commander, and Pirates of the Caribbean all in the first three hours we were at the park. Later in the day we rode the Tower of Terror and the Rock N Roller Coaster. All were excellent attractions. I have not had so much fun in years! Tomorrow we have a field trip scheduled to visit Aachen where we will tour one of the greatest cathedrals in all of northern Europe. After Aachen, I will travel with a couple friends to Hanover where I will have the awesome opportunity to examine some of the most modern biomedical cardiovascular devices on the market and hopefully see some of them in action!
