DB, I hate you.

Reason 1: Kirstie and I were not allowed to get on our train to Belgium because the workers shut the doors in our faces… making out 2 hour train ride into a 5 hour excursion that included waiting in Bonn, Cologne, and Aachen for long periods of time.

Reason 2: So as I mentioned before in my previous blog about Munich, we had a 90 minute delay on our 6 hour train ride to Munich on the Thursday before Easter. This meant that we arrived to our hostel at 2 am… Why the delay? Because a part on the train malfunctioned and we had to go in the opposite direction to the most recent platform so they could fix the broken part…Thank you DB.

Reason 3: Our train was delayed (for unknown reasons) on our way from Garmisch back to Bonn Monday night/Tuesday morning. Since this train was delayed, we missed our connecting train. Thankfully they were able to give us Taxi vouchers, so we weren’t stuck in Mainz overnight. So we had a “fun” 2 hour taxi ride from Mainz back to Bonn. However, we were under the impression that the taxis would take us to each of our homes. Unfortunately, we didn’t find this out until we were already at the first person’s house… and it was 2 am.

Reason 4: I still haven’t received my DB 25 Bahn Card.
