This Sunday we decided to venture to Koln über the DB. The cathedral was easily found upon exiting the HBF. Overall, not my favorite cathedral that I have visited (gaudi's in Barcelona), but none the less the sheer towering heigth was very impressive. Our phones decided they didn't like the cold so they died soon after this picture. We explored around the city a little. Walking through various churches and along the river. It was surprising to learn about the extensive damage cologne endured during WWII. We then found ourselves eating at a traditional brauhaus for lunch where we were treated to a troup of Germans in blue colonial war uniforms playing various instruments and marching around the resturaunt as we ate. I have already enjoyed sampling the beers from different brauhauses. I like picking apart the differences between the different brews. I caught on rather quickly that you have to put your coaster atop your drink to stop them from bringing more.
