The Hero’s Journey

I’ve finished packing and preparing for the trip of a lifetime. A new chapter of my life begins tomorrow as I board my flight to Bonn Germany. I am incredibly nervous but the amount of excitement overwhelming the nerves is what keeps me at ease. I will miss my family the most because now if I need something from home it’s not a two hour drive. I am ready to learn the language culture and much more. I know that when I return I will be a different person than the one who leaves tomorrow.The feeling i have is almost like the first day of college when I left my family for the first time. It is a familiar feeling so I hope when I get to Germany i can turn it into joy.
