Learning a New Language

Coming on this trip I knew no German. Now I feel like I still know very, very little. I learned Spanish in High School and for whatever reason, I am compelled to speak Spanish to anyone who doesn't speak English. It's like I think that either you speak English or Spanish. Even when we're learning German I find myself accidentally throwing Spanish words in the mix instead of the German words that I have learned. Hopefully this is a phase I will get out of. I think mixing three languages instead of two will make it harder for people to understand me, not easier.
