Week 8 in Bonn

This was a pretty short week and we had our first lab exam before leaving for spring break. The exam was not too bad and after that I was rewarded by a trip to Spain! We flew to Madrid on Friday night and spent a few wonderful days there before heading to Barcelona for the rest of the week. Madrid was amazing and I was so relieved that a lot of my Spanish knowledge from high school came back to me. We saw sights such as the Palace of Madrid, Retiro Park, the Botanical Gardens, and sampled sangria an churros. I really like the culture of taking a siesta in the afternoon and staying up late for a leisurely dinner. Spain is very beautiful so far and I'm looking forward to the beach in Barcelona.
