On Thursday, we got to be a part of the Karneval parade in Beuel, which was one of the highlights of my week! We threw candy to children and the whole atmosphere was so fun!
At 4:45 am on Friday morning, I took a train to Cologne-Bonn airport and flew with Langley to Berlin, where we met Olivia who had taken an overnight bus! We had such a fun weekend trip!
On Friday, we saw the Brandenburg gate, Reichtag, rode Lime scooters around a big park, saw a memorial for the murdered Jews in WWII, Victory column and had to work on our essays (Sorry Olivia.) Friday night we also had the best BBQ since we had left the US!
On Saturday, we went to the East side of Berlin, where we saw the East Side Gallery, Berlin wall monuments, and had the best brunch.
Sunday we came back to Bonn, and got ready for Rose Montag!
