This week was carnival and my god, it was amazing! We first started out by joining all of the AIB students in a big parade in Boel. Unfortunately, we did not have a costume but AIB did have the courtesy in giving all of us hoodies. During the parade we would throw candy at people watching the parade while yelling “camella!!!” It was one of the best days here in Germany. After this, some friends and I went to Köln Sud on Saturday to check out the mood and was it a good one. There were thousands of people from all walks of life and it was interesting interacting with them. We also went to a couple of clubs and bars. Subsequently, “Rose Montag” soon creeped around and a couple of us went to Köln main to see the parade and experience the hype/carnival atmosphere. Thankfully all went well.
