Week 3!
This past week has been amazing! We had Karneval in which I dressed up as the American flag and ran around yelling 'Murica! The parade was so much fun. We caught plenty of candy and were able to enjoy Karneval with Germans who were also dressed in ridiculous costumes. This past weekend, 6 of us went to Zurich. Zurich is the most beautiful city in the world. The first day we were there, this stranger came up to us as we were lost and looking at a map. He asked if he could take us to a beautiful bridge in Zurich, one which we had to see. 5 short hours, bags of chocolate and chestnuts, tea and cake in the lounge on the highest floor of the tallest building in Zurich, a full city-tour, all paid for by the CEO of two major energy companies (in which we found out with a little research) later, we had a complete taste of the city of Zurich. This was not the only instance of hospitality we found at our stay. Zurich is like a little piece of Texas hospitality wedged in the center of Europe. We also had the chance to go sledding 2 miles down a mountain for half the day Sunday, along with some hiking and snowball fighting. The best dinner we've had in Europe thus far can also be found in Zurich with unthinkable amounts of meat and fries and dessert. Needless to say, Zurich has been my favorite time of the trip so far. Tchuss!
