Brussels II

A graffiti on the wall of a random metro station. These people are truly artistic!

Saturday we took the metro to Atomium, a gigantic model of Oxygen. To the left is a picture I took in BELvue museum, and the picture on the right was the REAL thing. Tickets were sold under the model if you want to take a tour inside the model, but it was a little bit expensive (11 Euros).

It took us 5 min to walk to the Royal Planetarium of Belgium. We watched a movie in the planetarium under the dome. The movie was called "The Violent Universe", it was quiet and beautiful with 3D images of the universe, but 5 min later it started to talk about how various objects and stars can hit us on the Earth and destroy our entire civilization. So apparently we might get hit by a huge comet in 2025, and then we all die. At the end of the show it said we don't need to worry, but I am still worried about my life.

The best part of the sightseeing was the Parc du Cinquantenaire! It was free to visit, and most importantly, I got a nice warm soft sweet fresh Belgian waffle from a cart in the corner of the park! The weather was extremely cold but I felt satisfied!

At night we took the metro to a restaurant bar called "the Raven". I ordered an entree with duck meat and it was sooooo delicious! They also serve some nice fruity white beers which were only 3.6% alcohol. The total dinner cost us about 20 Euros per person on average. The waiter told us every Friday and Saturday after 10:30pm there would be women dancing on the table, but we waited until 11:00 and no one started dancing.
