Koenig Museum Today!

With free entrance coupon, we explored this wonderful museum 3 stops away from Bonn Hbf by subway this afternoon. Most of the visitors seemed to be children with their parents, but it was definitely more than children's playground.

First floor had a beautiful collection of animal specimens placed in the natural setting of African savanna, and everything seemed real. There were lions, deers, snakes, crows, and many other species.

The second floor exhibited many bird species and small wild animals. The birds ranged from the size of a thumb to as big as humans. There were many adorable and colorful species, such as the one below.

When we saw this we said "Oh look it's Hedwig!", and a few seconds later we see the Harry Potter book placed next to the specimen ;D.

Third floor had some larger animals and some lively sceneries. This was a display window for Sudan. Seems like I took this picture in the nature!

One corner on the third floor was dedicated to a fossil exhibition. There were turtle, fish, snake, and frog fossils. Some of them didn't look real due to the paint on the bone, or is it the right way to preserve older fossils?

I recommend all of you to visit this museum because the way everything's been set up was very entertaining. My host mom told me that every child in Bonn is required to visit this place.
