Cologne
"Do you want drugs, do you have drugs?" These were the first words we heard from the locals at Brussels, however we did arrive around midnight. We walked around Brussels for around an hour or so and we finally got to our airbnb. We made the sleeping arrangements work out to the best of our abilities and woke up the next morning ready for our free walking tour, but the weather had other ideas. During our whole walking tour, it was raining and cold so while the city itself was really nice, the weather made it semi miserable. The waffles that we had there though made up for all of the coldness that we endured. These were the best waffles I have ever had and the chocolate that was on top of it was some of the best chocolate I have had as well. This combination raised my standards for what a good waffle is. We went around to a couple more shops and we eventually made our way back to the airbnb were we settled down until night time. Brussels at night in the Central Square is neat. The building are all lit up and the lights look so cool against the dark night sky. The next day was our last in Cologne so we ended up just walking around and seeing fun churches and little gardens and getting waffles one last time before going back. We eventually got on the bus back to Bonn but before that Mitchell and I had a terrible run in with a really rude worker in a sandwich shop in the Station. Other than that Brussels was amazing and their architecture was fabulous. I will definitely visit Belgium again.
