Week 6

This week was a special one in my books. After the marvelous visit to both Vienna and Prague, we came back to take a normal week of classes and focus on our academic performance. As the weekend ahead of us was a long weekend, I asked Matt and Colby about the possible destination we could visit during those 4 days. Colby mentioned that Croatia is a beautiful place and that this city called Split on the Croatian coast was worth visiting. We then got together a group of 7 of us and booked our tickets to this unique place for the weekend. As Saturday came, we met at the Dusseldorf airport and then took the plane to split. Matt and the girls were a bit late and if it wasn't for the flight getting delayed, they probably wouldn't it have made it. However, despite this, we got to Croatia safely and headed to the Airbnb where we were going to stay. The apartment was simply amazing, we had a nice view of the sea from the balcony there. In the following days, we explored the beautiful city of Split by having a look at the beautiful places this city had to offer. What really surprised me the most was the sunset that we got to see first, it was by far the most beautiful sunset I had ever seen in my entire life. The following day we had the opportunity to visit the castle that used to be controlled by the Croatian Empire. The city was simply amazing, the food, the people, and the beautiful landscapes made this trip an unforgettable one. Split, Croatia was one of the best cities I have ever visited in my life and is a destination that will be visiting in the future.
