After getting back from Bruges we got the chance to go to a real live German soccer game! What a thrill! Germany takes soccer just as seriously as Aggies take football. We got dressed up with our team scarves and face paint and even though our team lost, it was still a ton of fun. I would definitely do it again.
That weekend we got to go to what I consider one of my favorite places thus far: Zurich. Wow. Switzerland is absolutely beautiful. Between the mountains, the snow, the water, I thought I was in paradise. Our first day we took a city tour and were greeted with extremely high prices. WARNING: If you plan to go to Switzerland, prepare yourself for the $$$$$. Seriously though, it was insane expensive. For dinner we ate some great fondue to get in our share of Swiss cheese. It was soooo good. Then we finished the day with a pub crawl which was pretty fun too.
On our second and last day in Switzerland we decided to become one with nature and venture into the snow and sea...well lake. We headed up to Uetliberg Mountain to play in the snow and view Switzerland from the sky. Oh what fun that was! It was so nice to play in the snow again and the views were incredible. We spent quite a bit of time on top of the mountain and even got some swiss hot chocolate and hiked further up a little bit. After our mountain adventure we went down the mountain and to the lake where we were greeted with the craziness of Texas weather...just not in Texas. The weather cleared a bit and we decided to go on a lake cruise which again gave us spectacular views. I would definitely go back to Switzerland, although expensive, the landscape is so worth it.
That next week was filled with school work and finally learning German. With a German final and a presentation for Enmodes. All in all it went well and everyone was excited to embark on our spring break adventures!
