Hello Please Give Me Money Thank You Very Much PART 2

In Rome, I did laundry for the first time since I've been in Germany. It's pretty cool that I still remembered how to do it. That was the highlight of the trip.

Kidding

In Rome, we visited the Colosseum where our tour guide Mateo just quoted Gladiator the whole time. That was kind of disappointing but it was still cool to be in the Colosseum. We then took a tour of one of the 7 hill of Rome and where the first ever skyscraper was in the history of ever. Our tour guide for this was 293487123 times better than Mateo. His name was Greg and was a Romanian with a Scottish Accent who liked to make fun of Americans. He was pretty funny. Then we went down to the Roman Forum and visited Caesar's Morgue on the day he was assassinated, the Ides of March, which was actually pretty weird and cool at the same time because we hadn't even realized it.

It was this night that we made a very important discovery. Making food for dinner and breakfast for the rest of our trip ended up saving us probably 200 euro for the remaining of the trip. We decided to make Spaghetti, Macaroni and Cheese, and Chicken Alfredo for the last couple nights we were traveling. Probably the smartest move that 10 people could have chose to do.

The next day we went to the Vatican and took a tour of the museum, climbed over 1000 steps to reach the top of St. Peter's Basilica, visited the Spanish Stair case, saw a castle, went to Trevi Fountain, basically hit all the important aspects left in Rome. It was my favorite city on the trip. Until we went to Sorrento.

After Rome, we traveled to Sorrento, the chillest part of our journey. There was probably one beggar in the entire city and he approacehed us three times. Two of them were in a matter of 10 minutes and we just said "Dude you already asked us once." He wasn't a very good beggar. In Sorrento, the only thing to do was take in the beautiful landscape and scenery, and Mt Vesuvius, and have so many lemons. Our best investment in Sorrento was a 2 euro ball that we used as a soccer ball and a hand ball. We found some stadium that left the door open so we all went and the most physical activity we've had since we've left for Germany. We played outside for probably 3 hours. Then an Old Italian Woman came and let her dog run with us as we kicked the soccer ball around. It was so much fun. We went down to the dock that night and skipped rocks and tried to hit things.

The last day we went to the Capo di Sorrento and swam in insanely cold water, climbed on old Roman ruins, and just relaxed. It was a great way to end the last day of spring break.

Spring Break was so much fun. Now instead of going home, we travel back to Germany. Its all kinda weird to fathom. This weekend we're traveling to Zurich to spend some time in the Alps.

Until next time
