Bayer

Last week, we were treated to a tour of a Bayer museum in Koln.  Upon arrival, we were greeted by our tour guide who promptly showed us around the museum.  We learned there was more to Bayer than just Aspirin.  In fact, our tour guide barely mentioned Aspirin in the entirety of the tour.  Bayer is currently involved in many projects worldwide to help solve humanitarian problems such as food shortages in countries who lack the infrastructure and materials to process enough food to feed themselves.  Pesticides, agricultural techniques, and pharmaceutical cures for hemophiliacs were just a few of the Bayer projects we were introduced to.  Following the tour, we listened to a lecture from one of the Bayer employees from the business side of things about the entire process of how pharmaceuticals progressed from idea to being in every apothecary store around the globe.
